Arkansas allowed LSU to shoot 52.7% from the field and 50.0% (15-30) from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Razorbacks was Daryl Macon who had 22 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists. On the season, Arkansas is averaging 83.2 ppg on 48.7% shooting from the field. The Razorbacks are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 39.8% shooting from beyond the arc. South Carolina has been led by their defense this season as they come into this matchup ranked 63rd in scoring defense, however, the Gamecocks have struggled defensively as of late as during their 3-game losing streak, the Gamecocks are allowing their opponents to average 78.0 ppg. Arkansas has lost 4 of their last 10 games and although they have an explosive offense that ranks 24th in scoring offense and 27th in FG%, the Razorbacks have struggled defensively as they rank just 288th in scoring defense. Arkansas has struggled recently, however, the Razorbacks are 11-1 at home and as I haven’t been expressed by the South Carolina defense as of late, I’m taking Arkansas to cover this spread.
