We have some AAC college basketball action on Tuesday night, as the UCF Knights take on the #8 Cincinnati Bearcats from BB&T Arena.

The UCF Knights will try to find some consistent play after alternating wins and losses in each of their last 5 games, including a 69-65 loss to Houston in their last outing. B.J. Taylor led the Knights with 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting with 4 assists, while A.J. Davis came 2nd with 13 points and 10 rebounds with a pair of steals and a pair of blocks for the double-double. Ceasar DeJesus and Dayon Griffin each logged 10 points to round out the scoring in double figures for UCF in the loss, with Griffin adding 5 rebounds in the losing effort. Davis is UCF’s top scorer and rebounder with 10.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, while Terrell Allen leads the Knights with 3.4 assists per game this season. As a team, UCF is scoring 63.9 points per game on 43.3% shooting from the field, 31.2% from the 3-point line and 63.4% from the foul line this season. The Knights also boast one of the stoutest defenses in the country, allowing the 3rd-fewest points per game in the nation at 60.6 per game on the 5th-lowest field goal percentage against at 38.6%.

Cincinnati vs. Central Florida - 2/6/18 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The #8 Cincinnati Bearcats will look to add another notch to their current 14 game winning streak following a 65-57 triumph over UCONN in their last outing. Jacob Evans led Cincinnati with 19 points on 4 of 12 shooting with a pair of threes and a 9 of 10 mark from the foul line while Kyle Washington came 2nd with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double. Cane Broome added 10 points on 4 of 10 shooting with a pair of threes to round out the trio of double digit scorers for Cincinnati in the win. Evans leads the Bearcats with an average of 14.1 points and 3.3 assists per game while Gary Clark is Cincinnati’s top rebounder with 9 boards per game this season. As a team, Cincinnati is scoring 76.5 points per game on 45.8% shooting from the field, 37.1% from behind the arc and 68.6% from the foul line this season. Cincinnati boasts a tough defense in their own right, ranking 2nd in D-I in points against and field goal percentage against, allowing just 56.8 points per game on 36.6% shooting from the field this season.

UCF is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 conference matchups. Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 13-6 in their last 19 games overall. The road team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.

Cincinnati has done a good job this season of blowing teams out that they should blow out, and already took down UCF on the road this season by double digits. However, you always run the risk with Cincinnati and large numbers like these because the Bearcats don’t always score a ton and rely on their defense to get the job done. I’m not saying UCF wins outright, but this is a lot of points to lay considering the Knights are very good defensively in their own right. I’ll take a shot with UCF and the points in this one.
