The Missouri State Bears are trying to right the ship and save their season in the MVC. Missouri State has dropped five in a row following a 97-75 defeat at the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers as an eight point underdog. Mustafa Lawrence topped the Missouri State attack with 19 points on 7-14 from the floor including 5-9 from distance followed by JT Miller with 15 point on 6-11 shooting. The Bears received 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists from Alize Johnson on 4-9 while Jarrid Rhodes tossed in eleven points.
The Indiana State Sycamores play more then their share of close games but came up with a not so close 77-66 victory at the Northern Iowa Panthers that ended a three game skid. Indiana State held a small 52%-50% shooting edge but won on a 10-22 effort from beyond the arc.
Brenton Scott poured in a contest high 20 points and hauled in ten rebounds on 7-12 from the floor with Jordan Barnes tossing in 13 points on 2-10 and 8-8 from the line. Tyreke Key gave the Sycamores nine points while Devin Thomas, Brandon Murphy and Clayton Hughes netted eight points apiece.
