The Minnesota Golden Gophers are desperate for a victory after losing eight of their last nine games. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are averaging 77.8 points on 44 percent shooting and allowing 73.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting. Jordan Murphy is averaging 17.5 points and 11.7 rebounds while Nate Mason is averaging 15.7 points and 4.3 assists. The Cornhuskers are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games, 10-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big Ten and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The Golden Gophers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Ten and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Cornhuskers are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Minnesota, 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are winning games and that's really all that matters, but I'm not buying much stock into this team, as they play a ton of close games, lose on the road and still don't have those big victories that catch my attenion. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are losing games left and right, but they're still solid at home for the most part where they're outscoring teams by 11 points and allowing just 38.9 percent shooting. Minnesota is also coming off a road game against Michigan where it forced overtime as 12.5 point underdogs. Maybe that's a sign there's something left in the tank. I'll take the Golden Gophers and the small line.
