We have some A-10 conference college basketball action on Wednesday night, as the Duquesne Dukes take on the Dayton Flyers.

The Duquesne Dukes will look to turn things around after dropping 5 of their last 8 games, including an 84-81 loss to St. Bonaventure in their last outing. The Dayton Flyers will also be looking to bounce back after losing 4 of their last 5 games, including an 86-82 double overtime loss to UMASS in their last outing. Josh Cunningham led the Flyers with 27 points on 10 of 13 shooting with 11 rebounds for the double-double, while Trey Landers came 2nd with 22 points on 11 of 14 shooting with 9 rebounds. Jalen Crutcher and Darrell Davis each added 15 points to round out the quartet of double digit scorers for Dayton in the losing effort. Crutcher went 6 of 11 from the floor with a team-high 8 assists while Davis shot just 4 of 18 with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Cunningham leads Dayton with an average of 16.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while Crutcher leads the team in assists with 3.9 helpers per game this season. As a team, Dayton is scoring 72.9 points per game 48.1% shooting from the field, 34.1% from behind the arc and 73% from the foul line this season.

Duquesne is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference matchups while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall. Dayton is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a loss while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.

Both of these teams are sliding right now, however, I’m not sure why we’re getting double digits with Duquesne, simply because they’re on the road? I’m not buying it. Duquesne is not only the better team in better form right now SU, they’ve done a good job following up losses and have been pretty good ATS lately, which is more than we can say for Dayton. I think this game could go down to the wire if not end with a Duquesne “upset,” so I’ll gladly take the Dukes and the points here.
