NEC college basketball action heats up when the Bryant Bears pay a visit to the Wagner Seahawks.
The Bryant Bears have endured a dreadful season but the team has been far more competitive then their conference record indicates with many close defeats. Bryant comes off of an 84-71 loss to Long Island where the team trailed by 12 at the halfway point and couldn’t recover with 36.4% shooting.

Ikenna Ndugba topped the Bears offense with 18 points on 7-17 from the floor followed by Adam Grant with 15 points on 6-18 shooting including 2-10 on threes. Bryant received 14 points and five boards on 5-15 from the field while Hunter Ware and Brandon Carroll tossed in nine points each with Carroll hauling in ten rebounds.
The Wagner Seahawks didn’t get a whole lot of love in the preseason polls but the team has looked impressive with six straight wins after upending St. Francis (NY) 79-61. Wagner connected at 44.4% but did most of their damage at the defensive end with 33.9% allowed.
The Seahawks received 15 points from Blake Francis on 4-11 from the floor and 5-6 at the line followed by JoJo Cooper with 14 points, six pulls and eight assists. Wagner saw Romone Saunders add 12 points and seven boards on 6-15 from the field while Devin Liggeons and AJ Sumbry tossed in ten points each and combined for 16 rebounds.
Bryant are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games and Bryant are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Wagner are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall and Wagner are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Northeast.
Wagner has the blowout potential but I am not thrilled laying the points and I’m not interested in Bryant either…
