Out at Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday, the Columbia Lions and the Brown Bears will be meeting up in college basketball action.

Columbia enters this game at 6-14 on the season so far. The Lions were just 1-10 on December 12, but then won three of their next five games before going 2-2 in their most recent four outings.

Brown vs. Columbia - 2/10/18 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Columbia had a big road game against Yale Friday evening, which they lost 88-84. The Lions outscored Yale 47-45 in the first half but went 43-37 the rest of the way. The top Columbia scorer in that game was Gabe Stefanini, who put up 17 points off the bench.

Over on the Brown side, they’re currently 10-10 on the year. The Bears had a pretty good run stretching from December into January, winning five of seven games. Brown has hit the skids lately though, losing three of four.

The Bears dropped one to Cornell on Friday 78-60. Brown was outscored 47-35 in the first half of that game and put up just 25 points the rest of the way. Leading the Bears was Desmond Cambridge with 26 points and seven rebounds.

Columbia is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games, and 19-8 ATS in their last 27 road games versus a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. The under is 5-2 in the Lions’ last seven overall and 5-2 in their last seven road games.

Meanwhile, the Bears are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 home games and 1-7 ATS in the last eight Saturday games. The over is 4-0 in Brown’s last four Saturday games and 4-1 in the last five home games versus a team with a losing road record.

Columbia has some pretty good scorers on their roster, but their main problem—especially lately—is that they’re simply giving up too many points to keep up. The Lions have surrendered at least 72 in six of their last seven games. As for Brown, they were scoring pretty well for a while there until they hit a 60-point wall versus Cornell. This one should be pretty competitive, but I’m leaning toward Columbia covering.
