MVC college basketball rivals the Northern Iowa Panthers and Drake Bulldogs take the floor at The Knapp Center.
The Northern Iowa Panthers have had problems stringing wins together but will get another chance to do that after upending the Bradley Braves 74-65 Wednesday. Both teams sank shots at around 43% with the Panthers holding an 8-2 advantage in long balls being the only significant difference.

Wyatt Lohaus was the big gun for the Northern Iowa offense as he led all scorers with 25 points on 7-9 from the floor followed by Klint Carlson with 12 points and nine rebounds on 5-10 accuracy. UNI received eleven points and seven boards from Bennett Koch while Hunter Rhodes and Spence Haldeman tossed in nine points apiece.
The Drake Bulldogs have their work cut out for them if they want to crack the top four in the MVC as the team has dropped four of five following a 72-57 loss at the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers. Drake had problems in most areas with the Ramblers holding a 50%-34.4% shooting edge.
The Bulldogs received 16 points apiece from Reed Timmer and Nick McGlynn who combined for eleven rebounds and hit 12-27 from the floor. CJ Rivers gave Drake ten points and four pulls on 5-7 accuracy but the remainder of the team totaled just 15 points.
Northern Iowa are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 road games and Northern Iowa are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall. Over is 10-1 in Drake last 11 Saturday games and Drake are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games and over is 48-23 in Drake last 71 home games.
Northern Iowa has owned this matchup but I’m going against the grain here with Drake showing potential at home…
