We have some ACC college basketball action on Sunday afternoon, as the Louisville Cardinals pay a visit to the Pitt Panthers.

The Louisville Cardinals will look to build some momentum after snapping a 3 game losing skid with a 77-54 win over Georgia Tech in their last outing. Jordan Nwora led the Cardinals with 16 points on 5 of 7 from behind the arc with 4 steals while Anas Mahmoud added 12 points with a team-high 7 rebounds and a pair of steals and blocks. Ray Spalding and Malik Williams each added 11 points to round out the quartet of double digit scorers for Louisville in the win. Quentin Snider added a team-high 7 assists while Ryan McMahon added 6 points with 5 assists and 4 steals in the winning effort for Louisville. Deng Adel missed the game with an ankle injury but still leads Louisville with an average of 15.4 points per game while Spalding leads the Cardinals with 8.9 boards per game and Snider leads the Cards with 4 assists per game this season. As a team, Louisville is scoring 77.6 points per game on 45.7% shooting from the field, 35.8% from behind the arc and 73.7% from the foul line this season.

USA TODAY Sports

The Pitt Panthers will be looking for a win to snap a brutal 12 game losing streak and notch their first conference win of the season after falling to Clemson in their last outing by a final score of 72-48. Terrell Brown led the Panthers in scoring with 19 points on 9 of 15 shooting with a team-high 8 rebounds and a pair of blocks as the only Pitt player to score in double figures in the loss. Marcus Carr added a team-high 4 assists while Kene Chukwuka chipped in 6 rebounds and a pair of steals. Jared Wilson-Frame added 6 points, but still leads the Panthers with an average of 12.8 points per game while Carr leads Pitt in assists with 4.3 helpers per game and Shamiel Stevenson leads the Panthers on the glass with 4.6 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Pitt is scoring 63.1 points per game on 41.6% shooting from the field, 32.6% from behind the arc and 69.6% from the foul line this season.

Louisville is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall while the over is 6-2-1 in their last 9 conference matchups. Pitt is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 14-2 in their last 16 home games. Louisville is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams and 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Pittsburgh.

Laying double digits on the road is always a scary proposition as a team usually does their best work at home. However, Pitt has shown us nothing for us to think that they’d be able to hang with Louisville here, even on home soil. Add in Louisville’s success ATS against Pitt and on the road no less, I think the only option here is to lay the points with the Cardinals.
