Coming up on Monday from Sojka Pavilion, the Colgate Raiders and the Bucknell Bison will be meeting up on the college basketball court.
Colgate enters this game with a 14-10 record overall. The Raiders have won six of their last seven games, including Wednesday’s win over Boston University. In that one, Colgate guard Jordan Robertson scored 20 bench points.
USA TODAY Sports
On the season, Will Rayman is the top scorer for Colgate with 13.9 PPG and 6.3 RPG, followed by Jordan Swopshire with 12.6 PPG. Jordan Burns (12.4 PPG) and Sean O’Brien (11.0 PPG) are also in double-digits for the Raiders.
Over on the Bucknell side, they’re sitting at 17-9 on the season. The Bison had a 10-game win streak going before falling in OT to Lehigh their last time out. In that one, Bucknell forward Zach Thomas put up 36 points.
Bucknell’s leading scorer this season is also Thomas, with 21.8 PPG and 9.5 RPG. Nana Foulard (15.5 PPG; 6.8 RPG) and Stephen Brown (13.9 PPG) are also in double-figures for the Bison.
The Raiders are 1-5 ATS in their last six Monday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up win. The under is 5-1 in Colgate’s last six Monday games and 4-1 in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Bison are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss. Bucknell is also 11-4 ATS in their last 15 overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus the Patriot League.
Colgate has been on a nice roll for about a month, and lately they’ve been solid on defense with fewer than 70 points allowed in three of their last four. The thing is, last time these two teams met, Bucknell took a 63-51 victory in a home game for the Raiders and overall the Bison have been playing well since mid-December. I like Bucknell to bag another win here, but something tells me Colgate won’t go away quietly.
