USA TODAY Sports

The #21 North Carolina Tar Heels will be looking to add to their current 3 game winning streak following a 96-89 road win over NC State in their last outing. Luke Made led UNC with 33 points on 15 of 22 shooting with a pair of threes and a team-high 17 rebounds for the double-double, while Joel Berry II came 2nd with 16 points and a pair of steals and Cameron Johnson added 13 points. Theo Pinson and Kenny Williams each added 11 points to round out the scoring in double figures for the Tar Heels in the win, while Pinson dishing out a team-high 7 assists in the win. Maybe leads North Carolina by averaging a double-double per game with 18.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while Pinson is the Tar Heels’ top assist man with 4.5 assists per game this season. As a team, North Carolina is scoring 83.3 points per game on 46.5% shooting from the field, 36.9% from behind the arc and 73.7% from the foul line this season.

Notre Dame is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 conference matchups. North Carolina is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win and 36-15-2 ATS in their last 53 home games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. The home team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

The Irish have done a good job at proving me wrong in their last couple of outings and the Tar Heels haven’t been as dominant overall as we are used to seeing. However, UNC did just beat an underrated Wolfpack team on the road, and the Tar Heels are a far better team in Chapel Hill. I don’t see the Irish having much of an answer for Maye, Berry II, Pinson and co., so I’ll lay the points in a game I see UNC winning by double digits.
