We have some Big 12 conference college basketball action on Monday night as the Baylor Bears battle the Texas Longhorns.

The Baylor Bears will look to build some steam after winning 3 straight games, including an 80-64 victory over Kansas in their last outing. Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. led Baylor with 19 points on 9 of 17 shooting while Manu Lecomte came right behind in 2nd with 18 points and a team-high 6 assists and Nuni Omot added 17 points on 6 of 9 shooting with 3 triples and 6 rebounds. Jake Lindsey added 11 points to round out the quartet of double digit scorers for Baylor in the win, while Mark Vital chipped in 4 points with a team-high 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. Lecomte leads Baylor with an average of 16.8 points and 3.5 assists per game, while Lual-Acuil Jr. is the Bears’ top rebounder with 9.2 rebounds per game this season. The Texas Longhorns will try to find some consistency after splitting their last 14 games, including losses in 3 of their last 4 games following an 87-71 road loss to TCU last time out. Mo Bamba led Texas with 23 points on 9 of 16 shooting while Eric Davis Jr. added 16 points as the only other Longhorn to score in double figures in the losing effort. Dylan Osetkowski added 4 points and a team-high 6 rebounds, while Matt Coleman added 7 points with 4 assists and Kerwin Roach II added 6 points with a team-high 5 assists in the loss for Texas. Bamba leads Texas by averaging a double-double per game with 13.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, while Coleman leads the Longhorns in assists with 4.6 helpers per game this season. As a team, Texas is scoring 72.4 points per game on 44.2% shooting from the field, 31.7% from behind the arc and 66.3% from the foul line this season.

Baylor is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 road games while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 conference matchups. Texas is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games while the over is 5-2-1 in their last 8 games following a loss. Baylor is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings at Texas.

These two teams are even on paper in my opinion which is why the line is where it is. However, Baylor has had all of the success when these two meet in Austin, and comes into this one in much better form as of late, so even though the Longhorns are a much better road team than Baylor is on the road, I think the points with Baylor hold all of the value here.
