We have some Summit League college basketball action on Wednesday night, as the Omaha Mavericks take on the Denver Pioneers.
The Omaha Mavericks will look to build on back-to-back conference wins, including a 90-85 win over IPFW in their last outing. Mitchell Hahn led Omaha with 21 points on 5 of 8 shooting with 3 threes and an 8 of 10 mark from the foul line to go along with 6 rebounds. Daniel Norl came 2nd with 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting with a 7 of 7 mark from the foul line while Zach Jackson added 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists to round out the trio of double digit scorers for Omaha in the win. Jackson leads the Mavericks with an average of 18.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while KJ Robinson leads Omaha with 2.9 assists per game this season. As a team, Omaha is scoring 77.7 points per game on 46.5% shooting from the field, 36.5% from behind the arc and 69.4% from the foul line this season.

The Denver Pioneers will look to build some steam after halting a mini 2 game slide with a 66-63 win over North Dakota State in their last outing. Joe Rosga led the Pioneers with 26 points of 7 of 12 shooting with 5 threes while Daniel Amigo added 19 points as the only other Denver player to score in double figures in the win. Ade Murkey added 5 points with a team-high 8 rebounds and 4 assists while Jake Pemberton added 7 points with 4 assists and 2 steals in the winning effort for the Pioneers. Rosa leads Denver with an average of 15.7 points and 2.9 assists per game while Amigo is the Pioneers’ top rebounder with 6.6 boards per game this season. As a team, Denver is scoring 71.8 points per game on 47.5% shooting from the field, 41.6% from behind the arc which is the 6th-best 3-point percentage in the country, and 69.3% from the foul line this season.
Omaha is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a win. Denver is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 23-9 in their last 32 conference matchups. The over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
There’s not much for me to go off of here, as you have a pair of middle of the road teams in the conference going at it. However, the Mavericks have been brutal on the road SU, going 1-13 this season, and are a sub-.500 team ATS away from home. Denver hasn’t been a whole lot better this season, but they’re a better team at home and will surely want revenge after Omaha won the first meeting this season, so I’ll lay the points with Denver here.
