The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will look for a big win to add to their current 7 game winning streak following a 79-68 road win over La Salle in their last outing. Matt Mobley led the Bonnies with 30 points on 11 of 20 shooting with 4 threes and a team-high 9 rebounds. Jaylen Adams came 2nd with 26 points on 9 of 16 shooting with 5 triples and a team-high 5 assists and 4 steals while Courtney Stockard added 10 points to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Bonnies in the win. Adams leads St. Bonaventure with 20.5 points per game this season, while Mobley leads the Bonnies with 2.7 assists per game and LaDarien Griffin leads the way in rebounding with 6.5 rebounds per game this season. As a team, St. Bonaventure is scoring 77.6 points per game on 45.6% shooting from the field, 40.4% from behind the arc and 75.6% from the foul line this season.
Rhode Island is 20-7 ATS in their 27 conference matchups and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 road games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. St. Bonaventure is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record while the over is 9-4 in their last 13 games overall. Rhode Island is 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings between these two teams and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings at St. Bonaventure.
This is a battle of the two top teams in the A-10 and this could very well be a preview of the conference tournament championship game. With that said, Rhode Island’s perfect conference run could come to an end here as the Bonnies at home pose the toughest test on paper for URI. However, with this game being almost a pick ‘em, and Rhode Island coming into this one 6-2 SU on the road this season, I feel more comfortable laying the point with Rhode Island in this one.
