The San Francisco Dons will look to build some momentum down the stretch after winning 3 of their last 4 games, including a 70-63 win over Saint Mary’s in their last outing. Frankie Ferrari led the Dons with 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting with a pair of threes and a team-high 7 assists, while Jordan Rating added 13 points and Jimbo Lull added 10 points with a team-high 7 rebounds to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Dons in the win. Souley Bout was held to just 3 points but still leads the Dons in scoring with an average of 12.2 points per game while Ferrari leads San Francisco in 3.6 assists per game and Matt McCarthy is the Dons’ top rebounder with 5.3 rebounds per game this season. As a team, San Francisco is scoring 68.5 points per game on 42% shooting from the field, 32.8% from behind the arc and 69.4% from the foul line this season.
Loyola Marymount is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games following a loss. San Francisco is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a win and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 home games. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
Are the Dons really that much better than the Lions here? I’m not sure, however the win over Saint Mary’s was impressive, and while you would expect Gonzaga to beat down on Loyola Marymount, the Lions had been struggling long before that, so I see laying the double digits as the only choice if forced to pick, especially if Batemon can't go for Loyola Marymount (he's questionable at the time of posting). But I’d probably just watch this game rather than bet.
