The Utah Utes travel to the Washington State Cougars for a Saturday night college basketball matchup.
The Utah Utes have been turning up the defensive intensity in winning three straight after shutting down Washington 70-58 on the road. Utah used a 46-26 second half to rally from an eight point deficit after 20 minutes. The only difference came at the stripe where the Utes held a 17-9 edge.

Utah rode the production of David Collette who led all scorers with 22 points and five pulls with Tyler Rawson adding 15 points, eleven rebounds and five assists. The trio of Sedrick Barefield, Parker Van Dyke and Justin Bibbins gave the Utes ten points each with eleven rebounds and 12 assists.
The Washington State Cougars have obviously struggled in 2017-18 but the team has a shot at back to back wins after a 73-69 victory versus Colorado snapped a seven game slide. Both teams sank shots at around 40% with Washington State totaling eleven more shots.
Malachi Flynn saved the Cougars with a contest high 30 points and five pulls on 11-19 followed by Robert Franks with 14 points and eight rebounds. Viont’e Daniels gave Washington State ten points and five yanks while Davante Cooper chipped in with eight points.
Utah are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and Utah are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Pacific-12and Utah are 35-15-1 ATS in their last 51 Saturday games. Washington State are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall and Washington State are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 vs. Pacific-12 and under is 7-2 in Washington State last 9 home games.
I think the Utah defense will present too much of a problem for Washington State and as long as the Utes can hit some shots I like them…
