Miami enters this one with a 18-8 record overall. The Hurricanes have lost their last three straight games, and fell to Syracuse on Saturday in their last appearance. In that one, Miami guard Chris Lykes put up 14 points.

Heading up the scoring for the Hurricanes this year is Dewan Huell with 11.7 PPG and 6.7 RPG. Also in double-figures for Miami are the injured Bruce Brown (11.4 PPG; 7.1 RPG; 19 games) and Lonnie Walker (11.1 PPG).

Over on the Notre Dame side, they’re currently 16-11 this year. The Irish have won three of their last four games, and took out Boston College on Saturday. In that game, Notre Dame guard Matt Farrell put up 37 points.

Bonzie Colson is the leading scorer for the Irish on the season with 21.4 PPG and 10.4 RPG in 14 games, but with him injured Farrell is the top guy on 17.1 PPG. Also in double-figures for the Irish are TJ Gibbs (16.0 PPG) and Martinas Geben (10.4 PPG; 7.8 RPG).

The Hurricanes are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss and 1-5 ATS in the last six versus a team with a winning straight-up record. Miami is also 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four versus the ACC.

Meanwhile, the Irish are 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win and 0-4 ATS in their last four Monday games. The over is 4-0 in the Irish’s last four home games and 5-1 in their last six Monday games.

Miami has been pretty good defensively over the last two games (121 points allowed) but hasn’t been great on the other side (105 points scored). Part of that is due to the Virginia matchup, but in reality the Hurricanes have had bouts of offensive slumber at times all season. As for the Irish, they’ve put up at least 84 points in three of their last four games following a bit of a slump. I like Notre Dame to stay hot here and cover.
