The George Washington Colonials host Atlantic Ten rival the Richmond Spiders in Wednesday college basketball action.
The Richmond Spiders had been playing well before dropping three straight capped off by a 72-66 loss to Saint Louis. Richmond was outshot 58.1%-40.7% but managed to be competitive thanks to 16 more looks at the basket.

Nick Sherod topped the Spiders offense with 19 points and five boards on 6-11 and 6-6 at the line. Richmond received 17 points and seven rebounds from De’Monte Buckingham on 7-14 while Jacob Gilyard added 15 points and five helpers on 5-11.
The George Washington Colonials have enjoyed some success the past few weeks with wins in three of four after an 80-56 victory versus the visiting VCU Rams. George Washington took an 18 point lead in to the break and never looked back behind 52.6% shooting.
Yuta Watanabe was the Colonials top gun as he poured in a game high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds followed by Terry Nolan Jr. with 18 points and five steals. George Washington saw 12 points and five assists from Bo Ziegler while Arnaldo Toro added eleven points and six boards.
