The Iowa State Cyclones could use a win here after dropping 11 of their last 15 games, including a 78-66 loss to Kansas State in their last outing. Cameron Lard led the Cyclones with 15 points and a team-high 8 rebounds, while Donovan Jackson hit 3 triples as part of his 13 points with a team-high 5 assists and Lindell Wigginton added 11 points to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Cyclones in the losing effort. Nick Weiler-Babb also added 5 assists of his own in 22 minutes in the loss for ISU. As a team, Iowa State is scoring 73.5 points per game on 44% shooting from the field, 35.9% from behind the arc and 71.5% from the foul line this season.
TCU is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following a win and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 16-5 in their last 21 games overall. Iowa State is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a losing road record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
TCU may be the better team with the better record here, but I think that the Cyclones core matches up pretty well with the Horned Frogs in this one. Not to mention that TCU has struggled to follow up wins ATS as of late, and while Iowa State’s record may not be pretty, they’ve been doing a pretty good job at covering at home and I think the Horned Frogs should be on upset alert here, so I’ll take a shot with Iowa State and the points.
