Coming up on Wednesday from Lawlor Events Center, the San Jose State Spartans and the Nevada Wolf Pack will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.

San Jose State comes into this game with a 3-22 record overall. The Spartans have lost their last 14 straight games, and dropped one to Wyoming on Saturday. In that game, San Jose State  forward Keith Fisher put up 26 points.

The Spartans’ top scorer this season is Ryan Pelage with 18.5 PPG and 5.2 RPG. Fisher is the only other San Jose State player in double-figures with 10.2 PPG and 6.4 RPG to his credit this season.

Over on the Nevada side, they’re sitting at 23-5 on the year. The Wolf Pack have won their last three straight games, most recently to Utah State Saturday. In that matchup, Nevada’s Caleb Martin managed 30 points.

Nevada’s top scorer this year is Martin as well with 19.6 PPG and 5.2 RPG. Also in the double-digit club for the Wolf Pack are Jordan Carolina (17.0 PPG; 8.8 RPG), Cody Martin (13.9 PPG; 6.3 RPG) and Kendall Stephens (13.2 PPG).

The Spartans are 15-33-3 ATS in their last 51 Wednesday games and 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the Mountain West. San Jose State is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win and 2-5 ATS in the last seven road games.

Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack are 20-8-1 ATS in the last 29 Wednesday games and 15-6-2 ATS in their last 23 versus the Mountain West. Nevada is also 33-16-2 ATS in their last 51 home games and 43-21-4 ATS in their last 68 games overall.

San Jose State has been scoring reasonably well here and there during this losing streak, but on the whole they’re still giving up a ton of points. Nevada is giving up quite a few points as well, but they’re also playing solid on the offensive side. I’m going to go with the Wolf Pack to stay hot here.
