The UNLV Rebels will look to rebound after having their 3 game winning streak snapped thanks to a 94-56 rout at the hands of San Diego State in their last outing. Jovan Mooring led UNLV with 16 points on 5 of 12 shooting with 3 assists, while Shakur Juiston added 12 points and a team-high 7 rebounds as the only other UNLV player to score in double figures in the loss. Brandon McCoy added 9 points with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks, and still leads the Rebels by averaging a double-double per game with 17 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while Jordan Johnson leads UNLV in the assists department with 5.8 helpers per game this season. As a team, UNLV is scoring 84.7 points per game while owning the 9th-best field goal percentage in the country, shooting 50.2% from the floor this season. The Rebels are also shooting 34.7% from behind the arc and 70.1% from he foul line this season.
Fresno State is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 25-6 ATS in their last 31 games following a game where they covered the spread while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 road games. UNLV is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 conference matchups. Fresno State is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
UNLV is a solid team at home, and with this line being almost a pick ‘em, it’s hard not to side with the Rebels here. However, I can’t shake that San Diego State game out of my head as UNLV just looked lost for the majority of that game. Fresno State has won each of their last 4 games, mixing in home and away wins in there, and given that they’ve had the upper hand over UNLV over the last few years ATS, I think the free point with Fresno State is the way to go as I have the Bulldogs escaping with a hard-fought road win here.
