The Tulane Green Wave will travel to the Charles Koch Arena to take on the 13th ranked Wichita State Shockers this Wednesday night in College Basketball action.

The Tulane Green Wave lost their 5th straight game and dropped to 13-13 (4-10 AAC) on the season after being defeated by the Memphis Tigers, 68-63, this past Saturday. Tulane fought back from a 35-22 2nd half deficit to make it a game late, however, the Green Wave couldn’t get enough defensive stops to secure the victory. Tulane allowed Memphis to shoot 54.3% from the field while the Green Wave shot just 38.8% from the field and 36.4% (8-22) from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Green Wave was Melvin Frazier who had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and a block. On the season, Tulane is averaging 74.1 ppg on 45.2% shooting from the field. The Green Wave are averaging 7.8 three-pointers per game on 34.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Tulane has been led by Melvin Frazier (15.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.3 spg), Cameron Reynolds (15.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.4 apg), Jordan Cornish (10.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.2 apg), and Ray Ona Embo (10.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.2 apg). Wichita State vs. Tulane - 2/21/18 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The 13th ranked Wichita State Shockers won their 4th straight game and improved to 21-5 (11-3 AAC) on the season after defeating the 5th ranked Cincinnati Bearcats, 76-72, this past Sunday. Wichita State was outstanding on the offense end against one of the better defenses in the country and were able to hold off the Bearcats late after taking a 72-64 lead with just 1:22 left in regulation. Wichita State shot 52.9% from the field and 44.4% (8-18) from beyond the arc in the win. Leading the way for the Shockers was Landry Shamet who had 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. On the season, Wichita State is averaging 83.8 ppg on 48.3% shooting from the field. The Shockers are averaging 9.4 three-pointers per game on 39.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Wichita State has been led by Landry Shamet (14.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 5.2 apg), Shaquille Morris (13.3 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.6 bpg), Darral Willis Jr. (11.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.1 apg), and Conner Frankamp (9.8 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.3 rpg). Defensively, Wichita State is allowing their opponents to average 70.3 ppg on 41.3% shooting from the field. The Shockers have a rebound margin of 10.2 and a turnover margin of 0.3.

The Green Wave are 13-29-2 ATS in their last 44 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Shockers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Tulane has lost 7 of their last 8 games and have really struggled on the offense as of late as although they rank 173rd in scoring offense, the Green Wave have averaged just 61.7 ppg over their last three loses. Wichita State picked up their biggest win of the season, defeating Cincinnati on the road, and the Shockers currently look like a very tough team to beat as they come into this matchup ranked 20th in scoring offense, 30th in FG%, and 3rd in rebound margin. Tulane is going to have a hard time matching up with the size of Wichita State and as the Green Wave just lost to Houston on the road by a 31-point margin, I think the Shockers will be able to do enough here to cover this large spread.
