The America East college basketball quarterfinals pits the Stony Brook Seawolves against the Albany Great Danes.
The #4 seed Albany Great Danes won four of five to end the regular season with both ends of the floor contributing. Albany comes off of a 71-54 victory versus Binghamton where the defense held the Bearcats to 38.6% shooting which made a winner of their own 45.9% accuracy.

Alex Foster was the Great Danes top option with 15 points and ten rebounds followed by Joe Cremo with 13 points, five pulls and nine boards. David Nichols and Greg Stire gave Albany 21 points and 19 rebounds while Costa Anderson chipped in with eight points.
This hasn’t been a typical Stony Brook season but the team has secured 5th with the team having some success controlling the scoreboard. The Seawolves ended the year with a 69-60 loss to Vermont where the game was close because of a slow pace with the Catamounts owning a 50%-37% shooting edge.
Akwasi Yeboah kept Stony Brook within striking distance as he poured in a game high 21 points with Elijah Olaniyi netting in eleven points. Jakub Petras gave the Seawolves another ten points followed by Junior Saintel with seven points.
