We have some A-10 college basketball action on Saturday afternoon as the George Washington Colonials take on the Dayton Flyers in a college basketball matchup.
The George Washington Colonials will try to close the season on a high note after winning 4 of their last 5 games following a 72-56 win over Fordham in their last outing. Yuta Watanabe led GW with 31 points on 11 of 17 shooting with a pair of blocks while Patrick Steeves added 12 points and Bo Zeigler chipped in 10 points with 8 rebounds and a pair of blocks to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Colonials in the win. Terry Nolan Jr. added 3 points with team-highs of 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the winning effort for George Washington as well. Watanabe leads George Washington in scoring with 16.5 points per game while Jair Bolden leads GW in assists with 3.1 helpers per game and Arnaldo Toro leads the Colonials on the glass with 6.5 rebounds per game this season. As a team, George Washington is scoring 66.9 points per game on 44.3% shooting from the field, 31.8% from behind the arc and 70.8% from the foul line this season.

The Dayton Flyers will also be looking to end the season in positive fashion after back-to-back losses, including a 71-53 loss to La Salle in their last outing. Trey Landers led Dayton with 17 points on 7 of 9 shooting with 10 rebounds for the double-double while Josh Cunningham and Jalen Crutcher each added 10 points with Cunningham dishing out a team-high 3 assists while Crutcher recorded 4 steals to finish off the trio of double digit scorers for the Flyers in the loss. Cunningham is Dayton’s leader in scoring and rebounding with 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game while Crutcher leads the Flyers in assists with 4.2 assists per game this season. As a team, Dayton is scoring 71.9 points per game on 48.1% shooting from the field, 33.8% from behind the arc and 73% from the foul line this season.
George Washington is 4-17-1 ATS in their last 22 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 road games against a team with a winning home record. Dayton is 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 conference matchups and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games overall while the over is 10-2 in their last 12 games following a loss. George Washington is 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams and 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings at Dayton.
This line is a product of GW’s struggles on the road both SU and ATS this season, but the Colonials have been the far better team as of late. So despite the head-to-head trends favouring the Flyers, I’ll take a stab at George Washington and the points.
