At Kibbie Dome on Saturday evening, the Southern Utah Thunderbirds and the Idaho Vandals will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.

Southern Utah enters this game with a 11-17 record overall. The Thunderbirds have lost four of their last five games, and dropped to Eastern Washington on Thursday. In that one, Southern Utah forward Jamal Aytes put up 15 points.

Tops in scoring for the Thunderbirds this year is Dwayne Morgan with 12.6 PPG, with Aytes tied at 12.6 as well. Jadon Cohee (12.5 PPG) and Brandon Better (12.0 PPG) are also in double-figures for Southern Utah.

Over on the Idaho side, they’re currently 21-8 on the year. The Vandals have won their last two games, and beat Northern Arizona on Thursday. In that outing, Idaho forward Brayon Blake put up 22 points.

Victor Sanders is the leading scorer for the Vandals this season, with 18.7 PPG to his credit with 3.2 APG. Blake is also in double-figures this year for Idaho, and he’s sitting on 16.4 PPG with 9.5 RPG.

Southern Utah is 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss. The Thunderbirds are also 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four versus the Big Sky.

Meanwhile, the Vandals are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games. Idaho is also 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win and the over is 13-3-2 in their last 18 Saturday games.

Southern Utah has done okay on the offensive end over their last four games or so, but they’ve also been giving up a lot of points—at least 74 in each game. Idaho hasn’t been overwhelming on the offensive end lately, but given that they took out Southern Utah 80-76 on the road last time, I like the Vandals to cover here as well.
