In college basketball CAA Tournament action on Sunday from North Charleston Coliseum, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks and the Hofstra Pride will be meeting up.

UNC Wilmington enters this one with a 10-20 record so far. The Seahawks are 3-3 over their last six games, and got a win against Drexel last Saturday. In that one, UNCW Ty Taylor put up 23 points.

Hofstra vs. UNC Wilmington - 3/4/18 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Heading up the scoring for UNC Wilmington this year is Devontae Cacok with 17.8 PPG and 13.8 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Seahawks are Jordon Talley (16.6 PPG), Taylor (14.0 PPG) and Jaylen Fornes (11.8 PPG).

Over on the Hofstra side, they’re currently 19-11 this year. The Pride have won their last four straight games and beat Towson in their last outing. In that one, Hofstra’s lead scorer was Justin Wright-Foreman with 27 points.

Wright-Foreman is also the top scorer on the season for Hofstra with 24.2 PPG, while Eli Pemberton has 16.3 PPG and 4.8 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Pride is Rokas Gustys (10.5 PPG; 12.1 RPG).

UNC Wilmington is 6-2 ATS in their last eight following an ATS win and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. The Seahawks are also 5-2 ATS in the last seven versus the CAA and 2-7 ATS in their last nine following a straight-up win.

Meanwhile, the Pride are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 4-0 ATS in the last four versus the CAA. Hofstra is also 3-8 ATS in the last 11 Sunday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five neutral-site games.

UNC Wilmington has a good offense this season, but they’re giving up too many points to be competitive in the win/loss columns. Hofstra can score well enough to take advantage of that, so I’m going to take the Pride to manage a cover here.
