The Line: IPFW Mastodons -1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

In college basketball’s Summit League Tournament on Sunday, the North Dakota State Bison and the Fort Wayne Mastodons will be matching up on the court at Denny Sanford Premier Center.

North Dakota State enters this game with a 14-16 record overall. The Bison had lost six of seven games, but managed a win last Saturday versus Omaha. In that one, North Dakota State guard Paul Miller managed 22 points.

Miller leads the Bison in scoring this season with 19.4 PPG and 5.8 RPG. Also in double-figures for North Dakota State is Tyson Ward, who has 11.6 PPG and 6.0 RPG to his credit this year.

Over on the Fort Wayne side, they’re sitting at 18-13 this season. The Mastodons are 2-3 in their last five games, and dropped to South Dakota State last Saturday. In that game, Fort Wayne’s John Konchar put up 31 points.

Tops in scoring for Fort Wayne on the season is Bryson Scott with 22.2 PPG and 4.6 RPG. Also in the double-digits club for the Mastodons are Konchar (14.6 PPG; 8.0 RPG) and Kason Harrell (14.2 PPG).

The Bison are 20-9 ATS in the last 29 neutral-site games and 17-35 ATS in their last 52 following an ATS win. North Dakota State is also 2-6 ATS in the last eight Sunday games and 1-7 ATS in the last eight versus the Summit.

Meanwhile, the Mastodons are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight Sunday games and 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 games following an ATS loss. The over is 4-0 in Fort Wayne’s last four overall and 4-0 in their last four versus the Summit.

North Dakota State has destroyed Omaha in their two meetings this year, so we’ll take their last victory with a proverbial grain of salt. In the two games versus Fort Wayne, the Bison have lost 92-88 and 84-72, and the latter happened at home on February 17. I can’t find a lot of reasons not to take the Mastodons here.
