Coming up on Monday in CAA Tournament college basketball action from North Charleston Coliseum, the William & Mary Tribe will be taking on the College of Charleston Cougars.
William & Mary enters this game with a 19-11 record overall. The Tribe had a sketchy run in February, losing four games in a five-game stretch, but have managed wins in their last three outings.
USA TODAY Sports
The Tribe’s most recent victory came versus Towson on Sunday 80-66. In that one, William & Mary guard David Cohn put up 24 points with six rebounds and seven assists, and Nathan Knight doubled up on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Over on the Charleston side, they’re coming into this one at 24-7 on the season. The Cougars had lost three games in a four-game stretch in January, but then rattled off 11 straight wins before a tough OT loss at William & Mary on February 24.
In the Sunday game versus Drexel, Charleston came away with a 66-59 victory. The Cougars were paced by guard Joe Chealey, who finished with 22 points and five rebounds with three assists. Grant Riller chipped in 17 points for the Cougars and Jarrell Brantley doubled up on 12 points with 11 rebounds.
William & Mary are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the CAA. The Tribe are also 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Monday games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 neutral-site games.
Meanwhile, the Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 Monday games. Charleston is also 1-4 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and the over is 5-0-1 in their last six Monday games.
We’ve got two recent games in which these teams matched up, starting with February 8’s Charleston home win 82-77 and also February 24’s Tribe win 114-104 in OT at home. This one should be a fun matchup, but I think the Tribe can keep up here since they’ve scored at least 80 points in each of their last three games. I’ll take William & Mary to cover.
