The Norfolk State Spartans finished 5th in the MEAC but the team was red hot to end the regular season. Norfolk State had won eight of nine before losing 74-71 to Hampton on the final day of the regular season. The Spartans were outshot 46.8%-41.7%with the Pirates holding a decisive 10-5 edge at the line.
