Out at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, the Cleveland State Vikings and the Wright State Raiders will be matching up in college basketball’s Horizon League Tournament championship.
Cleveland State enters this game with a 12-22 record overall. Back on January 27, the Vikings were sitting at just 5-18 and skidded to 8-22 by February 19. Cleveland State has won their last four straight games however, including a big upset over Oakland on Monday.

In that Oakland game, Cleveland State won 44-43. Leading the way for the Vikings in scoring was Kenny Carpenter with 16 points and two blocks. Anthony Wright also had a nice game for Cleveland State with 12 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Over on the Wright State side, they’re sitting at 24-9 on the season. The Raiders had an eight-game winning streak going in December and January, and recently have gotten back to their winning ways with five victories in their last six outings.
The Raiders took out Green Bay on Saturday and Milwaukee on Monday. In that Milwaukee game, Wright State Center Loudon Love posted a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds with a pair of blocks.
Cleveland State is 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last five overall. The Vikings are also 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the Horizon League and 4-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games.
Meanwhile, Wright State is 5-2 ATS in the last seven neutral-site games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven following an ATS win. The Raiders are also 1-10 ATS in their last 11 Tuesday games and the under is 9-4 in their last 13 overall.
We’ve got two games between these teams to help judge things here. Both the home teams won in those games, with Cleveland State taking the February 1 matchup 77-74 and Wright State winning 72-63 on February 19. This should be a fun game to watch, and I’m on the Cleveland State bandwagon right now leaning toward them completing the miracle run.
