Out at Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday in college basketball’s Mountain West Tournament, the Boise State Broncos and the Utah State Aggies will be meeting up.
Utah State comes into this game with a 16-16 record overall. The Aggies were 13-11 heading into February, but hit the skids with five losses in a six-game stretch. Utah State has turned it around in their last two games though, with consecutive wins.

In the Colorado State tournament game Wednesday, Utah State won 76-65. Guard Koby McEwen led the Aggies on 25 points with six rebounds and four assists. Dwayne Brown also had a nice outing for Utah State with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Over on the Boise State side, they’re sitting at 23-7 on the year. The Broncos have won three of their last four games, and beat Wyoming 95-87 on Saturday. in that one, Boise State forward Christian Sengfelder posted 24 points.
Chandler Hutchison leads the Broncos in scoring with 19.5 PPG and 7.6 RPG, and Sengfelder is second on 11.7 PPG and 6.4 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Broncos is Justinian Jessup with 11.7 PPG.
The Aggies are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 Thursday games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 following an ATS win. The under is 4-0 in Utah State’s last four overall and 4-0 in their last four versus the Mountain West.
Meanwhile, the Broncos are 2-6 ATS in their last eight neutral-site games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight-up win. Boise State is also 0-4 ATS in their last four Thursday games and the under is 6-1 in their last seven overall.
Believe it or not, these two teams have split the season series so far, with the home team each winning a game. Both scores were similar as well: Boise State’s win January 17 was 71-67 and the Aggies won 71-65 on February 10. I’d imagine the Aggies can hang around here for most of the game, but all in all Boise State should cover here.
