Out at Honda Center in college basketball’s Big West Tournament, the Long Beach State 49ers and the Cal State Fullerton Titans will be meeting up on Thursday.
CS Fullerton is entering this game with a 17-11 record overall. The Titans had won five of six games, but then fell to Hawaii on Saturday. In that game, CS Fullerton guard Kyle Allman managed 18 points.

Cal State Fullerton’s top scorer this year is also Allman, with 19.4 PPG. Khalil Ahmad (15.3 PPG) and Jackson Rowe (12.1 PPG; 6.7 RPG) are also in double-figures this season for the Titans.
Over on the Long Beach State side, they’re currently 15-17 on the season. The 49ers have won their last two games, and beat UC Riverside on Saturday. In that one, LBSU forward Gabe Levin put up 17 points.
Levin is the top scorer on the season for Long Beach State as well with his 18.4 PPG and 7.2 RPG. Also in double-figures for the 49ers this year are Bryan Alberts (11.5 PPG; 23 games) and Dishpan Booker (10.2 PPG).
The 49ers are 4-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine following an ATS win. The under is 6-0 in the 49ers’ last six overall and 6-0 in their last six versus the Big West.
Meanwhile, the Titans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. Cal State-Fullerton is also 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Big West and 1-6-2 ATS in the last nine neutral-site games.
Before their 60-point dud against Hawaii, the Titans had been scoring pretty well with 183 points over a two-game span. One of those games was an 81-71 win over LBSU, which split the season series after an 81-73 road loss back on January 20. This is an interesting matchup, but all things considered I like Long Beach State’s offense to help cover here.
