Heading up the scoring for LSU is Tremont Waters with 15.6 PPG and 5.9 APG. Also in double-digits for the Tigers are Duop Reath (12.5 PPG; 5.3 RPG) and Skylar Mays (11.3 PPG).

Over on the Mississippi State side, they’re sitting t 21-10 on the year. The Bulldogs have lost their last two games, to Tennessee and LSU. In the Saturday game, Mississippi State guard Lamar Peters managed 15 points.

Tops in scoring for Mississippi State this year is Quinndary Weatherspoon with 14.7 PPG and 5.9 RPG. Also in double-digits for the Bulldogs are Nick Weatherspoon (11.1 PPG) and Aric Holman (10.7 PPG).

LSU is 27-12 ATS in their last 39 Thursday games and 1-4-1 ATS in the last six games following a straight-up win. The Tigers are also 7-19-2 ATS in their last 28 following an ATS win and 1-4 ATS in their last five neutral-site games.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and 8-3 ATS in the last 11 overall. Mississippi State is also 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus the SEC and 2-7 ATS in their last nine Thursday games.

Do we need to take LSU’s Saturday win over the Bulldogs with a proverbial grain of salt? Probably, but in truth the Tigers have been scoring pretty well over their last four games, with at least 74 in each. LSU is certainly giving up the points, though. Mississippi State has been playing pretty flat over their last couple of games but I think they’ll wake up enough to cover here. Give me the Bulldogs.
