The Cal. State Bakersfield Roadrunners finished 6th in the conference with problems scoring the basketball being the source of their problems which has led to a 12-17 record. Cal. State Bakersfield averaged 65.8 points on 41.6% shooting and allowed 68.5 points on 42.4%.

The Roadrunners did have four players average double figures in scoring but nothing was explosive. Damiyne Durham topped Cal. State Bakersfield 11.6 points with Rickey Holden (10.7 ppg), Jarkell Joiner (10.5 ppg) and Shon Briggs (10.3 ppg) needing to produce more to have a chance to win in the playoffs.
The Utah Valley Wolverines finished second in the WAC at 10-4 with three of those defeats coming by a total of four points. Utah Valley possess one of the bigger offense’s at 78.5 points and gave up 67.3 points on 41.3% so the team was capable at both ends of the floor.
The Wolverines had plenty of scoring options with five double digit scorers led by Kenneth Ogbe leading the way with 13.4 points followed by Akolda Manyang with 12.9 points and a team high 7.8 rebounds. Connor Toolson gave UVU 12.7 points while Jake Toolson and Brandon Randolph contributed eleven points apiece.
