The Line: Saint Louis Billikens +7 -- Over/Under: 130 See the Latest Odds
The Saint Louis Billikens tangle with the Davidson Wildcats in the quarterfinals of the A-10 college basketball tournament.
The Saint Louis Billikens turned to their defense in dumping George Washington 70-63 in the first round of the Atlantic Ten playoffs. Saint Louis was the number six squad in the conference and rode their deliberate style where the scoreboard was under their control while doing enough scoring themselves.

Against Davidson the Billikens will be leaning on the production of Javon Best who averaged over 13 points and 7.4 boards in 2017-18 with Jordan Goodwin scoring 11.5 points and hauling in 7.5 rebounds. Davell Roby and Hasahn French combined for around 20 points and all need to meet or possibly exceed their averages versus a dangerous Davidson.
The Davidson Wildcats were not expected to win the Atlantic Ten but it’s been a solid year with the team snagging third in the conference with a 19-11 record. Davidson won eight of ten over the last month and were very consistent at both ends of the floor.
The Wildcats will only go as far as Peyton Aldridge will take them as he brings in an explosive 21 points and 7.8 rebounds on 47.8% shooting with Kellan Grady averaging almost 18 points on 50.4%. Jon Axel Gudmundsson gave Davidson 13 points and six boards so the team was deadly at the offensive end.
The obvious goal for Saint Louis is to limit possessions and mistakes and eliminate second chance scoring opportunities for the Wildcats. A faster tempo favors Davidson and we’ll know what Vegas thinks when the spread is released so please check back…
