Friday college basketball action brings us to the SEC where the Kentucky Wildcats battle the Georgia Bulldogs in a quarterfinal bout.
The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Missouri Tigers 62-60 to punch their ticket to the SEC quarterfinals. Georgia rallied from a nine point first half deficit behind a 45.7%-34.9% edge in marksmanship that negated 17 more Missouri shots.

The Bulldogs received 21 points and ten rebounds from Yante Maten on 6-15 and 7-10 at the stripe. TeShaun Hightower gave Georgia 13 points and seven and seven boards on 5-9 while three players contributed seven points apiece.
The Kentucky Wildcats are not a top squad we have come to expect with the team going 21-10 and finishing 5th in the SEC. Kentucky had been looking good with four straight wins before ending the regular season with a loss at Florida. The Wildcats were still a dangerous offensive club as they outscored their opponents 76.9-71.2.
The Wildcats were one of a few teams with five double digit scorers so there were plenty of options. Kevin Knox topped Kentucky with 15.7 points and 5.3 boards followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 13.2 points. Hamidou Diallo, PJ Washington and Quade Green gave UK ten points apiece with the team going eight deep.
Kentucky has the huge offensive advantage and especially so if they control the pace. I’m not in love with this and I’m not betting it…
