The Nevada Wolf Pack punched their ticket to the semifinals thanks to a 79-74 triumph over UNLV in the quarterfinals on Thursday. Jordan Caroline led Nevada with 21 points on 7 of 14 shooting with 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the double-double. Josh Hall came 2nd with 16 points while Kendall Stephens added 15 points with 5 triples to match his 5 blocks and Caleb Martin added 12 points to round out the quartet of double-digit scorers for Nevada in the win. Cody Martin also added 7 points with a team-high 6 assists in the winning effort for the Wolf Pack. Caleb Martin leads Nevada in scoring with 19.2 points per game while Cody Martin leads the Wolf Pack in assists with 4.5 assists per game and the aforementioned Caroline leads Nevada on the glass with 8.7 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Nevada is scoring 83.4 points per game on 47.1% shooting from the field, 40.3% from behind the arc and 74.8% from the foul line this season.

San Diego State is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 5-0-1 in their last 6 conference matchups. Nevada is 33-14-4 ATS in their last 51 games against a team with a winning record and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 neutral site games. The favorite is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

San Diego State did well against the Wolf Pack at home and are hot coming into this one. But let’s not forget that Nevada also got the Aztecs when they were the host, taking down SDSU by 25 points just a month ago. All in all, I think this will be a tight one throughout, but Nevada will want revenge for that loss just a few days ago and will get it as the Wolf Pack march on to the championship game.

Aztec defense is back! 10 v. 6 players? I'd take the Aztecs any day, any time.
