The quarterfinals of the AAC tournament pits the Memphis Tigers against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The Memphis Tigers survived a last minute South Florida rally to squeeze by the Bulls 79-77 in an AAC first round bout. Memphis rode 57.1% marksmanship to overcome the Bulls 49.1% shooting.

Kyvon Davenport was the Tigers go to scorer with 27 points, seven rebounds and nine assists on 10-13 with David Nickeberry tossing in 14 points on 6-8. Memphis saw 12 points from Kareem Brewton Jr.while Mike Parks Jr. added eight points and five pulls.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane won four of five to end the regular season which secured the 4th spot in the AAC and a bye in to the conference quarterfinals. Tulsa finished 19-11 and outscored the opposition 73.8-71 although the defense was playing well above their season average.
The Golden Hurricane had plenty of options at the offensive end of the floor with Junior Etou leading the team with 15 points and 7.7 rebounds with Sterling Taplin next in line at 11.7 points. Corey Henderson Jr. and DaQuan Jeffries gave Tulsa ten points apiece with Martins Igbanu adding 9.5 points and five boards.
