Friday NCAA college basketball action pits the Kansas State Wildcats against the Creighton Blue Jays.
The Kansas State Wildcats were 4th in the Big 12 and saw their shot at winning the conference playoffs end in an 83-67 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas State fell behind by 13 points heading to the locker room and never recovered with biggest difference being the Jayhawks 11-2 edge from beyond the arc.

Makol Mawien tried to keep the Wildcats competitive as he led all scorers with 29 points with four pulls on 13-19. Kansas State saw Xavier Sneed add 12 points, six rebounds and five helpers while Cartier Diarra and Amaad Wainwright tossed in nine points each and combined for nine boards.
The Creighton Bluejays were faltering to end the regular season and then were bounced from the Big East tournament 72-68 by Providence in overtime. Creighton held a 42.4%-36.9% edge in marksmanship with Providence holding a 19-12 advantage at the stripe.
The Bluejays received 19 points and five pulls from Marcus Foster on 8-18 including 2-7 from deep with Davion Mintz adding 14 points and six assists on 4-9 and 6-7 at the stripe. Mitch Ballock gave Creighton 12 points on 4-7 while Jacob Epperson and Khyri Thomas combined for 17 points.
Both the Big East and Big 12 were tough to negotiate with the Big 12 probably tougher. I’m going with the team that was steadier down the stretch…
