As for Syracuse, they’re sitting at 20-13 this year. The Orange have lost four of their last six outings, and were taken out by North Carolina last week. In that game, Syracuse forward Oshae Brissett put up 20 points.
Heading up the scoring for the Orange this season is Tyus Battle with 19.8 PPG, while Frank Howard has 15.0 PPG and 5.0 APG. Also in double-figures for Syracuse is Brissett, with 14.7 PPG and 8.8 RPG.
The Orange are 4-1 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight neutral-site games. Syracuse is also 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and the over is 6-1 in their last seven versus the Pac-12.
Meanwhile, the Sun Devils are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games and 10-26 ATS in their last 36 neutral-site games. Arizona State is also 2-7 ATS in their last nine Wednesday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.
Arizona State’s recent record looks pretty ugly, but on the whole they’ve been in their losses and haven’t been getting blown out. Syracuse has had some difficulties as well, but to be fair they’ve been playing some tough squads. This should be a pretty close matchup, but all in all I like Arizona State’s offense a little better so I’m going that way.
