The Central Arkansas Bears hope to shake off an 86-64 pounding by Stephen F. Austin in the Southland semifinals where neither end of the floor was able to come through. The Lumberjacks won the marksmanship battle 46.2%-38.8% and managed an additional 17 more shots.

The Bears were in need of several more threats at the offensive end of the floor with Mathieu Kamba leading the way with 14 points and six rebounds on 3-7 and 7-8 at the stripe. Jordan Howard gave Central Arkansas en points on 3-10 while Jared Chatham and Matthew Mondesir netted nine points apiece.
The Seattle Redhawks ended the regular season on a three game skid before falling 84-79 in the WAC title game to New Mexico State. Seattle held a small 40.6%-38.7% marksmanship edge with New Mexico State sinking eight more free throws which was decisive.
The twosome of Jordan Hill and Josh Hearlihy led the Redhawks netted 23 points apiece on 15-35 and 11-13 at the stripe. Richaud Gittens gave Seattle 12 points and five boards on 5-12 with Matej Kavas tossing in eleven points.
