The Wright State Raiders received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by winning the Horizon playoffs in a 59-53 victory over Milwaukee. This game was up for grabs until the final horn with both teams sinking shots at around 33% with Wright State winning on a 17-7 advantage at the foul line.

Loudon Love carried the Raiders offense with 18 points and 12 rebounds on 8-13 followed by Jaylon Hall with 12 points on 3-8 including 5-6 at the stripe. Parker Ernsthausen and Grant Benzinger gave Wright State eight points apiece and a combined 16 rebounds while Mark Hughes added seven points and six pulls.
The Tennessee Volunteers were playing well to end the regular season and carried that momentum to the SEC championship which the Kentucky Wildcats won 77-71. Tennessee was outshot 50%-37.1% but stayed competitive because of 12 more looks at the basket.
Admiral Schofield kept the Volunteers within striking distance with 22 points and ten rebounds followed by Grant Williams with 15 points, nine boards and three steals. Tennessee saw 12 points and four helpers from Jordan Bone while Lamonte Turner added ten points and four assists.
