It’s winner takes all in game three of the College Basketball Invitational as the San Francisco Dons take on the North Texas Mean Green on Friday night.

The North Texas Mean Green will look to finish off the comeback after evening up the three game set with their win on Wednesday. Jorden Duffy led North Texas with 15 points along with a team-high 9 rebounds, while Roosevelt Smart added 13 points and Zachary Simmons chipped in 12 points on an efficient 5 of 6 shooting with 7 rebounds in just 17 minutes. Tope Arikawe added 10 points to round out the foursome of double digit scorers for North Texas in the win, while Ryan Woolridge added 7 points with a team-high 5 assists and a pair of steals in the winning effort for the Mean Green. Smart leads North Texas in scoring with 19.2 points per game while Woolridge leads the Mean Green with 5.7 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game this season. As a team, North Texas is scoring 74.1 points per game on 45% shooting from the field, 35.5% from behind the arc and 65.6% from the foul line this season.

San Francisco is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games while the under is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games following a loss. North Texas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games against the WCC.

I correctly nabbed game two as we saw San Francisco struggle away from home, which was a common theme for the Dons this season. North Texas wasn’t sharp offensively themselves, but will we get enough from North Texas to see the Mean Green take home the trophy? I think we are more likely to see it than to see San Francisco turn things around on the road, so I'll lay the points with North Texas as I see the Mean Green lifting the CBI trophy.
