The Arizona State Sun Devils welcome Big West foe the Cal State Fullerton Titans to town in the college basketball opener for both squads.
The Cal State Fullerton Titans finished last season with a solid 20-12 record and a 4th place finish in the Big West. That was an even better outcome considering there wasn’t a lot of room for error with the team outscoring opponents 72.4%-70.2% on a 46.7%-41.3% shooting edge.

The Titans will be looking to move up the conference standings with their four top scorers coming back led by guard Kyle Allman putting up 19.5 points per night while backcourt mate Khalil Ahmad averaged 15.1 points. Forward Jackson Rowe netted 12.1 and a team high 6.7 rebounds but Cal State Fullerton does not have much size overall.
The offensive minded Arizona State Sun Devils rode their offense to a 20-12 record but were only 8th in the PAC-12. Arizona State poured in 82.7 points per game to rank 16th in the game while giving up 74.8.
The Sun Devils high powered attack has taken a hit their top three scorers in Tra Holder (18.2), Shannon Evans II (16.5) and Kodi Justice (12.7) representing more then half of the scoring gone. Cleveland State transfer Rob Edwards should step in immediately and help with the scoring while fellow guard Remy Martin brings back 9.6 points for ASU. Forwards Romello White and De’Quon Lake give the Sun Devils scoring and muscle on the glass.
Under is 9-1 in CS Fullerton last 10 road games and under is 9-3 in CS Fullerton last 12 vs. Pacific-12 and CS Fullerton are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Arizona State are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big West and over is 9-1 in Arizona State last 10 Tuesday games and under is 8-2 in Arizona State last 10 vs. Big West.
I think CS Fullerton will challenge for the Big West while Arizona State looks to regroup with more of a defensive look. Forced to choose I’ll take the points in a loosely competitive contest…
