The Savannah State Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies meet Wednesday in college basketball action at the Reed Arena.
The Savannah State Tigers won 15 games last season and finished the year losing four of their last six games. Savannah State has its work cut out for it, as it lost its top-three scorers from last season, a team that averaged 86 points on 40 percent shooting. Zach Sellers is the Tigers top returning player, and he averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Jahlin Smith returns after playing in just 10 games last season and Chris Dubose averaged just under five minutes per game. Needless to say, the Savannah State Tigers will be an entirely different team from a year ago, which is sure to result in some growing pains early. The Savannah State Tigers have split their last six road games.

The Texas A&M Aggies won 22 games last season and watched things end in the Sweet 16 to the Michigan Wolverines. Texas A&M has some key players to replace, including an NBA draft pick in Robert Williams, but the Aggies still have two talented guards in Admon Gilder and TJ Starks to rely on, a duo that combined for 22.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists last season. Savion Flagg flashed potential in the limited playing time he received and Jay Jay Chandler played in 33 games last season. Texas A&M will look a lot different than it did a year ago when I told everyone they were the sleeper in the SEC. This year, the Aggies will be guard heavy and will have major holes to fill. The Texas A&M Aggies have won six of their last seven home games.
The Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Wednesday games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Aggies are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. The over is 7-3 in Tigers last 10 non-conference games and the over is 9-4 in Aggies last 13 overall.
Both of these teams will look a lot different than they did a few months ago, so the value is probably with the points. Still, I'll respect the typeo f atheltes the Aggies have and the fact Savannah State rarely steps up in comp like this. I wouldn't bet it personally, but Texas A&M should still win comfortable.
