The Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas Longhorns meet Friday in college basketball action at Fort Bliss.
The Arkansas Razorbacks are coming off a 23-win season that ended with an exit in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas has its work cut out, as it lost four of its top-five scorers from last season, meaning Daniel Gafford, who averaged 11.8 points and 6.2 rebounds on 60.5 percent shooting is the only key players returning from a year ago. Adrio Bailey did average over 14 minutes last season and Jonathan Holmes played in 11 games, but that’s about it when it comes to experience. The good news for the Razorbacks is that there are some impressive recruits coming in, including 4-star players Isaiah Joe, Ethan Henderson and Keyshawn Embery. Either way, the Arkansas Razorbacks will look a lot different than they did a year ago. The Arkansas Razorbacks have split their last eight non-home games.

The Texas Longhorns look for a quick 2-0 start after beating up on Eastern Illinois in their season opener. The Texas Longhorns are averaging 71 points on 50 percent shooting and allowing 59 points on 35.7 percent shooting. Matt Coleman III is averaging 13 points and seven assists while Jaxson Hayes is averaging 12 points and four rebounds. Dylan Osetkowski is grabbing five rebounds and Elijah Mitrou-Long is dishing six assists. The Texas Longhorns are shooting 32 percent from beyond the arc and 55 percent from the free throw line. The Texas Longhorns are allowing 26.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35 rebounds per game. The Texas Longhorns have lost four of their last five non-home games.
The Razorbacks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big 12 and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Longhorns are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Southeastern, 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 neutral site games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. The Razorbacks are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
You have to like that the Texas Longhorns have a game under their belt and this is pretty much a home game for them even if it's not on their actual home court. The Arkansas Razorbacks have a ton of rebuilding to do, as they lost majority of their roster from a year ago. I'll lay the reasonable line with the Longhorns here. It's going to take some time for Arkansas to gell with so many new faces on the team.
