The Hawks are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Aggies are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Friday games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.
Hartford had a disappointing performance in their season opener, however, it’s important not to sleep on the Hawks this season as they are one of the most experienced teams in the country as they returned 4 starters from a team that finished 19-14 last season. Hartford is solid on both ends of the court and is good enough to give Vermont trouble in the America East this season. Utah State impressed in Craig Smith coaching debut for the Aggies as their offense had no trouble putting up points agianst a Montana State defense that obviously didn’t improve in the offseason. The Aggies returned Sam Merrill who obviously looked like the go-to option for the Aggies, however, it will be interesting to see how the supporting cast performs agianst a tougher defense.
Utah State looked impressive however, I think their offense is going to have a much harder time scoring the ball agianst the Hawks defense. I'm taking Hartford and the double-digit points in this one.
