The Indiana State Sycamores struggled in he second half of an 86-69 loss a Ball State on Tuesday for an 0-1 start to the year. Indiana State was outscored 54-37 over the final 20 minutes where the Cardinals hit shots at 49.8% and ISU managed 38.9%.

Jordan Barnes and Tyreke Key topped the Sycamores offense with 16 points apiece with 12 rebounds and eight assists between them but the duo was just 12-37 from the field. Devin Thomas gave the Sycamores ten points and four yanks on 4-6 shooing while Emondre Rickman added nine points and seven rebounds on 3-8 from the field and 3-9 at the line.
The Green Bay Phoenix kicked off 2018-19 with an easy 110-54 out of sub-division Wisconsin Lutheran. Green Bay was in the driver’s seat throughout behind 55.3% shooting and 18 more looks at the basket to easily outdistance the 32.8% shooting Warriors.
TJ Parham and Manny Patterson led the Phoenix offensive spree with 14 points apiece with Parham grabbing six boards while ShanQuan Hemphill tossed in 13 points on 5-8. Sandy Cohen III gave Green Bay another 12 points on 5-7 from the floor followed by ten point efforts from Hunter Crist, Jevon Smith and JayQuan McCloud.
