In Wednesday’s matchup versus Florida, Oklahoma banged out a win 65-60. In that game, the Sooners’ lead scorer was Christian James on 18 points and seven rebounds. Jamuni McNeace and Rashard Odomes each had 11, while Brady Manek put up 10 rebounds.
Over on the Wisconsin side, they’re currently 4-0 as well. The Badgers beat Coppin State 85-63 in the opener, then took out Xavier 77-68 before stomping HBU 96-59.
In Wednesday’s game versus Stanford, Wisconsin ended up with a 62-46 victory. Leading the way for the Badgers scorers in that one were D’Mitrik Trice and Ethan Happ, each with 16 points. Happ also put up a double-double with his 12 rebounds.
The Badgers are 4-0 ATS in their last four Thursday games and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. Wisconsin is 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games and 10-3 ATS in the last 13 versus the Big 12.
Meanwhile, the Sooners are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four non-conference games. Oklahoma is 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win and 2-7 ATS in their last nine neutral-site games.
Oklahoma got a pretty well-balanced effort against Florida, with contributions from most of their roster helping to power a win. It wasn’t necessarily a flashy win, but holding Florida to just 30 points per half is commendable.
As for the Badgers, they had a little trouble fending off Stanford initially, but things worked themselves out int he second half. We’ll get a good look at Wisconsin’s capabilities over this next quartet of games, and I think the showcase will start here. I’m probably going Badgers.
