The Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record however, are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Blazers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games vs. CAA opponents however, just 15-36 ATS in their last 51 neutral site games.

Charleston brought back two great players in Grant Riller & Jarrell Brantley which will help the Cougars once again be a solid CAA team this season, however, if Charleston wants to punch their ticket back to the NCAA Tournament, they’ll need to find some additional scoring as the Cougars come into this game ranked just 216th in FG%, T-324th in three-pointers made per game, and 342nd in 3P-FG%. UAB is in rebuilding mode after losing Chris Cokley, William Lee, and Nick Norton and although they are going to be a tough defensive team, and have some solid young players that could make UAB dangerous in the C-USA this if they can contribute immediately. I’m expecting this to be a low scoring game however and as of right now, as the line has yet to be released, I’m initially leaning on taking the Cougars as I think Riller & Brantley will do enough to cover what I expect to be a low to mid-range spread.

Update (9:55 AM) - The line is about where I thought it would be at the Cougars are favored by 3. I'm keeping with my initial thoughts witth taking Charleson and I might put someting on the under also.
